John Huston's final movie, adapted from the Joyce short story about a Dublin twelfth night party in 1904, is a poignant study in memory and mortality. Donal McCann is magnificent as the husband who, on learning a long-suppressed secret from his wife (Anjelica Huston), must face the tragic misapprehensions on which his life has rested. A swansong to cherish.
