Nirpal Bhogal's London-set movie is violent but almost Dickensian in its melodramatic nature: Geordie waif Kayla (Aimee Kelly) falls in with a girl gang who help her fight back against evil drug dealer Trey (Ashley Walters).
An uneven, occasionally clunky film benefits from Felix Wiedemann's evocative location cinematography and from the very full-blooded performances.
