Is Danny Dyer the most hated actor in Britain? His recent indiscretion as "agony uncle" of Nuts magazine – his considered advice to a correspondent about being jilted was to cut the ex-girlfriend's face – surely clinched it.
In this lowlife drama Dyer plays a porn-empire boss with a woman-hating streak, so allow him consistency at least. Robert Cavanah plays his chief pimp, a ponytailed Scot named Woody who's supposedly being filmed for a documentary about the porn industry. The plot, concerning the identity of a snuff-movie killer, is a gruesome mixture of sexual sadism and sentimentality, made even less palatable by dialogue of quarter-witted aggression.
