Paper Heart (PG)
This indie squib wobbles briefly on a tightrope between sincerity and cuteness before plunging headlong to a death-by-whimsy.
The stand-up Charlyne Yi does have a sweet face, though her bumbling manner wears you down as she embarks on (groan) an investigative road trip to discover the meaning of love. Michael Cera appears as himself, and even his I'm-a-nerd-but-please-be-my-friend schtick gets mightily on your nerves.
