The original Johnny English movie was no great shakes, and eight years on the doltish spy born of a credit-card advert has surely maxed out the small comic limits he originally occupied. Rowan Atkinson gurns away, surrounded by a cast – Rosamund Pike, Gillian Anderson, Dominic West – that's much too good for the pitiful fare set in front of them. It lasts about 90 minutes, during which time I heard not a single laugh in the whole room.
