Cameron (Almost Famous) Crowe's latest is based on a true story, not that you can spot much truth beneath all the sugary sentiment and Hollywood fakery.

Transplanting events from England to California, the film features Matt Damon as a hunky widower who somehow has the funds to buy a safari park, complete with an eccentric staff and two unattached beauties – one (Scarlett Johansson) for Damon and one for his teenage son.
