This Is It was cobbled together from rehearsal footage for the 50-date residency Jackson intended to perform at London's 02 arena.

The clips were cherry-picked by Kenny Ortega, director of the show, and therefore the film leans closer towards uncritical hagiography rather than warts-and-all documentary. Nevertheless, Jackson's singing is often beautiful, but his dancing, though still nifty, leaves him exhausted. A whitewash, but every fan should see it all the same.
