DVD: Shrek Forever After, For retail & rental (Dreamworks)
The fourth Shrek film is an improvement on the third, not that anyone except DreamWorks' accountants ever thought that the first one needed any sequels at all.
Paying homage to Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life, it whisks the titular ogre into an alternate reality where he was never born. Eddie Murphy's Donkey is the high point, as ever. The low point is the script's preoccupation with fatherhood, which will be bafflingly irrelevant to the target audience.
