In the second series of HBO's delightfully deadpan sitcom, Bret and Jemaine are still moping around New York, hoping to perform their songs in a venue more glamorous than a district library. The programme has a bigger budget this time, which detracts slightly from its previous ramshackle charm, but it's also bolder, more imaginative, and funnier, too, not least because of the prominence it gives to the loveable Rhys Darby as the Conchords' manager.
