It's not as funny or excruciating as Happiness, but Todd Solondz hasn't lost his misanthropic touch with this uncomfortable tale of a hopeless, portly thirtysomething, Abe (Jordan Gelber), who lives with his parents (Mia Farrow and Christopher Walken) and miraculously persuades Selma Blair to kiss him.

Some interesting ideas here, but its resolution falls flat.
