OK, this fantasy adventure doesn't match The Princess Bride (then again, what does?) which it's clearly aiming to do, but this is still fee-fi-fo-fun. Nicholas Hoult, whose stock is high after his deft turn in Warm Bodies, plays Jack, a brave young farmhand tasked, along with Ewan McGregor's gallant knight and Stanley Tucci's absurd rotter, with saving a fair princess (Eleanor Tomlinson) from peckish giants. Hoult's charm and some decent action sequences hold this together.
