The principal characters – an analytical doctor, a weary police chief and a vain prosecutor – scour the Anatolian countryside for a body, accompanied by a gaggle of podgy cops and the spectral-looking suspect. Very little actually happens, the conversations are often banal, and yet every scene is unforgettable. A remarkable experience.
