Elsa is caught up in a painful divorce, and struggling to come to terms with the death of her daughter.
As she battles to keep custody of her son, her former husband fears that Elsa's history of mental illness could affect the child's care. His concerns seem well founded when Elsa (played with conviction by Catherine Frot) begins to believe one of her son's friends is her dead daughter and starts stalking her.
As the obsession grows, she befriends the girl's family, but the closer she gets, the harder the truth becomes to conceal. Angel of Mine is a decent drama, which cranks up the tension as the lies told by Elsa gradually unravel, but it's let down somewhat by the flat ending.
