From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.A decade since they killed Bill Murray after confusing him for a zombie, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin have reunited for Zombieland: Double Tap, the sequel to the 2009 smash.
The first trailer finds the gang reaching the American heartland, along with a creepily deserted White House that Harrelson’s character Tallahassee appears to take up residence in.
Along for the ride this time around are newcomers Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch and Avon Jogia, as a stoner who runs off with Breslin’s Little Rock. Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch also appear, as vague doppelgangers of Eisenberg and Harrelson’s characters.
Ruben Fleischer, who directed the first Zombieland and last year directed the Tom Hardy Marvel movie Venom, is back behind the camera.
No official word just yet on whether Murray is also due to return. Potentially as an actual zombie this time.
Zombieland: Double Tap is released 18 October 2019.
