The original Paranormal Activity house was used for an elaborate and terrifying prank

After years of dimly lit bedrooms and enormous profit margins, the Paranormal Activity franchise is set to come a close next friday with the release of its final instalment, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

To promote the film, Paramount decided to stage a prank at the original house used for filming, which it set up as an open house for the day.

The familiarity of the house might have already set potential buyers on edge, but they start completely freaking out when the building glitches around them.

The seemingly paranormal activities are perfectly timed, getting progressively more frightening until the final mirror crack jump scare, which sends all of the guests scampering down the staircase and out of the house.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension will see a new family beset by demons, and, according to producer Jason Blum, answer all of the questions that the series' mythology has posed up to this point.
