From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Skydance Productions and Paramount Pictures have released the first glimpse of a new sequel set to bring back both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, the latter back as powerhouse badass Sarah Connor.
Our first look concentrates solely on the film's trio of leading ladies - Hamilton, Blade Runner's Mackenzie Davis, and Natalia Reyes - though there's no guarantee they'll all be fighting on the same side.
Hamilton returns to the franchise for the first time since Terminator 2: Judgment Day, while Davis will star as Grace and Reyes as Dani Ramos, rumoured to be the lead of the film, as a young woman in Mexico City caught up in a war of machines vs. man. Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta also feature.
The new film also marks the return of James Cameron to the series, acting now as producer, with the rights to Terminator reverting to the director and franchise creator in 2019. Deadpool's Tim Miller has taken on directing duties.
There's hope the new installment, which will not be titled Terminator 6 and will instead act as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day, will help revive the series after the box office disappointment of Terminator: Genisys, which itself was premised as the first of a now-cancelled trilogy.
The new Terminator sequel will hit UK cinemas November 2019.
