Right before the dawn of Batman v Superman's premiere, Warner Bros. has slipped in one quick reminder of the DC film we're all secretly far more excited about.

Jumping on the hashtag #HarleysTattooParlor, the film's cast has unleashed a bevy of new treats on their Twitter accounts; revealing a set of character posters each designed in the style of tattoo illustrations.

It's flashback to an image posted by Margot Robbie, Harley Quinn herself, which saw the cast giving each other "skwad" tattoos to commemorate their time together. They also accompany a fresh, sweet-toothed standard poster for the film; using #SuicideSquad as a presumed bid to generate online buzz.

Several tweets alluded to a forthcoming drop from the film at the South by Southwest festival; "The Suicide Squad is ready to leave its mark on #SXSW". The festival's known for staging fairly far-out marketing strategies, and though everything's remaining cryptic for now, it's likely a few attendees will be walking away with some new ink. Will it be permanent or no?

If the SXSW plans will result in any new footage hitting the web is another question; though the festival's run from 11-19 March means we won't have too long to wait.

Suicide Squad hits UK theatres 5 August.
