Star Wars 9: Daisy Ridley cried when she learned Rey's fate

We learned a lot about Rey's origin, i.e. that there wasn't really one (at least in the Star Wars-y, 'it is destined' sense), in The Last Jedi, but what of her fate?
It looks set to be pretty dramatic, as she was witnessed crying as the end of her character's arc was revealed to her.
Oddly enough, this anecdote came from Saturday Night Live's Bobby Moynihan, a mutual friend of both Ridley and then Star Wars IX director Colin Trevorrow.
"I was in The Book of Henry, the movie that Colin Trevorrow directed, and we talked about [Star Wars] a great deal," Moynihan told Collider's Jedi Council Podcast. "We’re both big fans, one of the reasons why I think he put me in the movie was because we hit it off talking about that
"I introduced him to Daisy Ridley at the SNL after-party, it was the first time they had met. I saw a moment where she said, ‘What happens to me?’ And he said, ‘Do you want to do this now?’ And she said, ‘Yeah,’ and they went off into a corner of the bar and he whispered it into her ear and she started crying."
Were these tears of joy? Sorrow? Or just disbelief that the ending sounded so bad (Trevorrow "mutually" since parted way with Lucasfilm and his script his being rewritten)?
"I was like, I’m witnessing ‘Star Wars’ history right now," Moynihan continued. "I remember being so amazed and feeling so wonderful and so happy for Colin because he’s such a fan.
"I haven’t spoken to him since the news came out that he’s not doing it, but it kills me because I would’ve loved to see what he would have done with it because he was very passionate about it."
Now on its fourth script, Star Wars IX is being overhauled by new director JJ Abrams. It is likely that much will be changed, but something as big and trilogy-ending as Rey's fate will likely have been set in stone right from The Force Awakens.
Star Wars IX is expected in cinemas 20 December, 2019.
