Unsurprisingly, ever since production started, leaks about Star Wars: Episode VIII have been hitting the internet frequently.
International Business Times are the latest publication to get in on the rumours, claiming to have information about Kelly Marie Tran’s new character.
According to their report, she plays an ‘information broker’ who sells valuable intelligence to the highest bidder, dealing with both the Resistance and First Order.
A source revealed her character is called Aya, but disclosed this could just be a code-name used on set. Apparently, Aya shares a scene with John Boyega’s Finn, the pair exchanging words in a bar “fancier” than the cantinas previously seen in the series.
It is revealed that, during their meeting, a group of Stormtroopers enter, start shooting at Finn, with Aya helping him escape.
Previous leaks from the film’s set revealed that Luke, Rey and Kylo Ren share a scene, while another featured a cantina-like scene on a boat.
Star Wars 8 is set for release December 2017.
