A Marvel insider has claimed to have discovered huge details about Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man film, including the official title and villain details.

The actor announced the sequel last week, revealing that he would return alongside Zendaya as MJ.

But a new report claims that Marvel is upping the ante with the new film, which – according to reputable leaker 4Chan – will be titled Spider-Man: Home Run.

This name would keep in running with previous films Homecoming and Far From Home.

It also could hint at a plot line in the new film, considering the last time we saw Peter Parker he had been framed for the death of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

It’s been claimed that the film will feature two villains, namely Kraven and Scorpion.

According to the leaker, Henry Cavill is being eyed for the former, which is the latest in a long line of reports linking the Superman star to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There is no word on who has been targeted for Scorpion, however eagle-eyed fans noticed a mysterious tweet from Better Call Saul actor Michael Mando, who tweeted a photo with a scorpion emoji last week.

Another two actors being linked to roles in the film via the report are Joe Keery – Stranger ThingsSteve Harrington – and Jane Lynch.

Holland teased the film’s script as “absolutely insane”. Directed by Jon Watts, the third Spider-Man will be released on 16 July 2021.

Next on the Marvel agenda is Black Widow, which was set to be released on 1 May until Disney announced it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
