Despite inevitable confidentiality agreements, the Casino actor let the news slip while on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
After the host asked if she'd consider taking on a superhero role, Stone said: "I am going to do a Marvel movie."
Naturally, she was pressed on details but the actor refused to elaborate: "I'm just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can't tell because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements.
"But I'm going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That's it."
The exact film Stone will be appearing in remains a mystery however Cinemablend speculates that her choice of words - "a wee role" - could be an allusion to Ant-Man and the Wasp in which she could well play Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym.
This casting would see an on-screen reunion with her Basic Instinct co-star Michael Douglas.
This isn't the first time the one-time Oscar-nominee has dabbled in the superhero genre; she appeared alongside Halle Berry in 2004 box office flop Catwoman.
Despite her confirmation, it's worth noting that Brian Blessed once personally announced he would play Odin in Kenneth Branagh's Thor film only to be replaced by Anthony Hopkins.
Stone shared the couch with Sebastian Stan who is promoting Marvel film Captain America: Civil War.
