Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Secret Cinema returns to an old favourite with its next event; bringing Dirty Dancing back to a secret outdoor London location and making those summer nights just a little bit hotter.
The immersive cinema experience takes guests back to the summer of 1963; where they can book a room at Kellerman's Holiday Resort, and dance the hours away alongside Baby and Johnny. The event is a revival of their 2013 show, which saw 12,000 attendees invade Hackney Downs Park for three nights, free from being jammed in corners and ready to have the time of their lives.
The event will follow Secret Cinema's presentation of 28 Days Later, which screens Danny Boyle's zombie classic in suitably apocalyptic settings from 14 April to 29 May.
The event will run the 15-17, and 22-24 July. Tickets will go on sale on the Secret Cinema website on 31 March, 1PM.
