Secret Cinema has put into motion plans for their next live event.

As is the tradition with most of its live shows, both the nature of the event and the film which will be screened have been kept secret. The only known information at this point is that the event will also be taking place at a location in Moscow. The combination of its Russian ties, the use of Soviet design elements, and the reference to war posted on its Twitter page has already spurred numerous theories as to what their choice might be. From the Bond franchise to Dr. Strangelove to the recently released Bridge of Spies; there are countless movies that would perfectly fit the clues so far set out.

Secret Cinema has built a substantial fan base with its series of covert events, which combine screenings of classic and newly released films with a whole host of interactive elements; allowing fans to submerge themselves completely in some of their favourite movies. Their last event, in which the film was unusually announced ahead of time, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back was screened alongside the opportunity to wander Tattooine market stalls or enter the infamous cantina, all while completing shipment tasks for bounty hunters and evading the sight of patrolling Stormtroopers.

The organisation has suffered a fair amount of controversy over the past few years, from accusations of utilising unpaid works to the cancellation of the opening night of 2014's Back to the Future event just 90 minutes before doors were meant to open. Perhaps its return to its more secretive roots will ensure the cinematic magic remains intact for this upcoming event.

Tickets go on sale today at 1pm.
