From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

This time last year saw the release of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens which starred John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Daniel Craig in a cameo appearance as a stormtrooper.

Rogue One - the first of three prequels - has just been released boasting an equally as impressive cast ranging from Felicity Jones as protagonist Jyn Erso alongside Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelsohn.

The film also features a surprise cameo, only this one is certainly not Bond actor Craig. No, Rogue One contains a cameo appearance from (wait for it) Jordan Stephens from Rizzle Kicks.

Ahmed gave the detail away in an interview with Yahoo Movies and, while Stephens' role has remained under wraps, it's known that he starred as a Rebel fighter.

This isn't the singer's first time in front of the camera having recently starred in E4 drama Glue.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in cinemas now showing a very different ending to what was glimpsed in the trailers. Among the film's biggest talking points is the way in which director Gareth Edwards opted to use unseen footage from original Star Wars film A New Hope.
