Robert Pattinson has been spotted back on the set of The Batman after his battle with coronavirus.

The actor was photographed looking appropriately battle-worn and haunted on the Liverpool set of the forthcoming Dark Knight reboot.

The scene, currently shooting outside Liverpool’s St George’s Hall, appeared to be set in the aftermath of a funeral, with Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne stepping in and out of a black Corvette. A body double wearing a face mask was also spotted in the car.

Pattinson tested positive for Covid-19 in early September, forcing The Batman to pause production for several weeks.

It was confirmed in late September that filming had restarted, with Pattinson having tested negative for the illness.

Filming on The Batman was previously paused for six months amid the first significant outbreak of Covid-19 worldwide.

Matt Reeves is directing the film, which also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

Farrell’s appearance in the film caused confusion on set, with his co-stars believing the actor hadn’t arrived as they didn’t recognise him when buried under prosthetic make-up.

The Batman will be released on 4 March 2022, with its previous 2021 release date postponed earlier this month.
