From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.New film Nocturnal Animals has been impressing critics following its premiere at festivals across the world (Toronto International Film Festival, London Film Festival) - and we've been granted access to a global exclusive clip of the ensemble drama from director Tom Ford.
It's been six years since the fashion designer's last film, A Single Man, was released starring an Oscar-nominated Colin Firth, Nicholas Hoult and Julianne Moore.
This time around, he's assembled the likes of Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Aaron Taylor-Johnson to head up the psychological thriller.
Story-wise, Nocturna Animals follows art gallery owner Susan Morrow (a scintillating Adams) who is sent the manuscript of her ex-husband's brand new novel which we see play out in scenes starring Gyllenhaal, Taylor-Johnson and Isla fisher; one such extremely tense moment can be seen in the exclusive clip above.
Despite not being seen in the above scene, actor Michael Shannon also shows up in scene-stealing form. You can watch a trailer for the icy drama here.
Nocturnal Animals is set to be released in the UK on 4 November,
