A new trailer for Oscar-tipped film Foxcatcher has been released, showing Steve Carell as a success-crazed sports coach.

The Office and Anchorman actor stars in his first major serious role as John du Pont, an ambitious bur erratic wrestling coach.
Based on a true story, the film follows Olympic wrestling champion brothers Mark and Dave Schultz, played by Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo, and their relationship with their eccentric coach.
The sinister trailer, shot with a gloomy grey tint, shows an ageing Carell looking out across American prairies as he tells Tatum’s character Mark Schultz: “I want, more than anything, to win a gold medal. And we have someone that could do that.”
He continues: “I am leading men, I am training them, I am teaching them. I am giving them a dream, and I am giving America hope.”
The trailer ends with Carell entering a medal room as athletes chant his character’s name “John! John! John!”
Oscar-tipped films for 2015
Show all 10Directed by Moneyball and Capote's Bennett Miller, the movie received positive reviews a the Cannes Film Festival in May, where Miller won the award for best director.
Vanessa Redgrave, Sienna Miller and Anthony Michael Hall also star.
Foxcatcher will be released in UK cinemas on 9 January 2015.
