From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It looks like we’ll be seeing Resident Evil heroine Alice in her old age in The Final Chapter, judging by a spoilerific Instagram post from star Milla Jovovivch.
“[The make-up team] worked for over 4 hours at 5 am this morning to create "Old Alice" for our scenes today!” she wrote. “I will post more pics of the process later! Plus a sexy selfie(not for the weak of heart!)”
The 39-year-old also revealed that the make-up was not just for a flash-forward scene at the end of the film.
“Btw, for all those who think this look is for the end of the movie, it's not!” she added.
The Final Chapter will pick things up straight after the events of 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution, with Paul WS Anderson returning to direct.
It will see Alice back in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is trying to wipe out any remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter has a release date of January 2017.
