Matthew McConaughey has offered his reaction to Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s reunion during a virtual reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

All three actors took part in the event last month. This was the first time in nearly two decades that Aniston and Pitt were reunited on screen.

During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a viewer asked McConaughey to comment on the reading. One of her questions was: “Could you feel the sexual tension between Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt?”

“Could I feel the heat through the screen ?” McConaughey summarised, joking that it had been “so powerful.”

In a more serious tone, he added: “I actually didn’t notice anything through the screen, but that made for a good topic the next day.”

The reading, particularly Aniston and Pitt’s performance during it, became the subject of much discussion on social media after it aired.

One person jokingly suggested on Twitter that Aniston should get an Oscar for getting through the reading, which included some flirty dialogue, with her ex-husband.

Aniston and Pitt were married in 2000 and split in 2005. Pitt was then in a relationship with Angelina Jolie. The pair split in 2016.
