From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

There was an unexpected Charlie’s Angels reunion as Lucy Liu received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore showed up to support their friend and former co-star alongside Demi Moore who appeared in sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003).

“Lucy and I first met while making Charlie’s Angles I didn’t know we were going to have a reunion today,” Moore said. “I could see she was in fact as I had heard a badass with brains. Then the better I got to know her I realised she wasn’t just about a badass with brains, she was a badass with brains, a beautiful heart with a deep loving soul and a damn good sense of humour.”

Liu was overwhelmed to be joined by the actors for the ceremony. “My dear Angels,” she tweeted, “It’s a 20-year reunion. [Then], we were an elite crime-fighting team and now look at us.”

Charlie’s Angels will return to the big screen with a brand new cast later this year. Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott will front the film that’s been directed by The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks.

Liu, Diaz and Barrymore first appeared in the big-screen version of the popular TV series in 2000.
