A trailer for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface has been released as it's extremely NSFW.

Leatherface will tell the origin story of the infamous killer played by Gunnar Hansen in Tobe Hooper's 1978 original.

As expected, the trailer boasts the Texas Chainsaw classics: lots of gore, creepy family dinners and a mask made of human skin.

The film follows four escaped mental patients - one of which becomes the terrifying horror villain - who get pursued by local law enforcement (Iron Fist's Finn Jones and Stephen Dorff) after kidnapping a young nurse (Vanessa Grasse).

Leatherface is directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo and will get a limited released in the US on 20 October.

A UK release date is yet to be announced but it'll premiere at FrightFest on 25 August.
