An anonymous masseur filed a lawsuit against Kevin Spacey in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, accusing the actor of sexual battery, assault, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.

The incident allegedly took place in October 2016, when the masseur was hired by one of Spacey’s aides for a massage appointment at the House of Cards star’s Malibu home.

The man was led into the massage room at the residence, the suit says (via Variety), at which point Spacey locked the door behind them.

Spacey allegedly complained of “having some pain or discomfort in his groin area” and apparently forced the masseur to touch Spacey’s genitals twice during the massage.

In the first instance, the anonymous plaintiff’s hand was allegedly forced “onto Spacey’s scrotum and testicles, which Plaintiff was forced by Spacey’s action to touch.” The suit states that the masseur recoiled but decided to continue the session, only later apparently “Spacey again grabbed Plaintiff’s hand, but this time forced Plaintiff’s hand to rub his penis, scrotum and testicles.”

When he refused, Spacey tried to kiss the man, the suit alleges, before groping him and offering him oral sex.

Unspecified damages are being sought in the lawsuit, which claims “as a direct and proximate result of Spacey’s unlawful conduct as alleged hereinabove, Plaintiff suffered and continues to suffer economic harm, loss of earnings and other damages.”

Spacey currently faces a number of sexual misconduct allegations, and in 2017 said he would be seeking “evaluation and treatment” for his behaviour.
