The rapper took to Twitter to announce his love for the film and its sequel, released on 18 May, writing: "I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine… bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool."
"Your guys writing and approach is so innovative," he then added. "I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time."
Of course, Ryan Reynolds was quick to respond to the A-list endorsement, remaining on-brand and slipping in a Deadpool-esque joke to boot. "Agree. I'm having a word with Céline Dion," he wrote on Twitter.
The Canadian musical icon had contributed an original track to the sequel titled "Ashes", with an accompanying video seeing Dion on stage belting: "What's left to say/ these prayers aren't workin' anymore/ Every word shot down in flames." All framed by an interpretive dance from Deadpool himself.
Dion first premiered the video this morning on Good Morning America which was given a cheeky introduction by host Lara Spencer: "They told us that Deadpool himself wrote Celine a letter asking if she would like to be part of his ‘masterpiece,’ and after she heard 30 seconds of the song, she was sold."
Will Kanye West be the first on the phone for Deadpool 3? That's yet to be seen.
