Kaley Cuoco has condemned tabloid rumours that she is feuding with Margot Robbie.

Both actors currently play the DC Comics character Harley Quinn, with Cuoco voicing her in the animated series Harley Quinn, and Robbie playing her in films including Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey.

In July, the US tabloid Star Magazine described the pair as being “professionally jealous” of one another, alleging that both women refused to appear at the 2020 San Diego Comic Con together as they “don’t like each other”.

“When Harley became kind of a big deal and then when Birds of Prey came out, there were all these stories that me and Margot Robbie were feuding,” Cuoco told Interview Magazine.

“But I’ve never even met her. I love her. There was an article that came out that said we would not show up together at Comic Con. We refused to be on the same stage together. Neither of us was even at Comic Con, okay?”

“She’s so cute,” Cuoco added.

The animated series Harley Quinn premiered in November 2019 on the US streaming service DC Universe, and revolves around the character as she dumps The Joker and embarks on adventures with her best friend Poison Ivy. It has been praised for its surreal storytelling and adult comedy.

Robbie, meanwhile, will reprise the role of Harley for the third time in live-action next year. She stars in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad reboot, titled The Suicide Squad.

Cuoco, who stars in the new comedy drama series The Flight Attendant, recently thanked fans of her old series The Big Bang Theory for giving her new show a chance.

“You know I appreciate you Big Bang Theory fans who maybe really loved Penny for so long and find it hard to turn that off, and look at me in a different way, and follow me down this path,” she wrote on Instagram.

Cuoco also recalled the awkward filming of sex scenes with her Big Bang Theory co-star and ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki. She joked that the scenes only seemed to be written into scripts once the pair broke up in real life.
