At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Your support makes all the difference. When you’re telling your friends about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the chances are you probably don’t use the film’s full title.
First, there’s the problem of using “V”, when most people would probably use the more friendly “Vs”.
Then there’s the whole matter the ridiculous “Dawn of Justice” subtitle, an attempt at getting people excited for the upcoming team-up film, Justice League.
Fortunately, DC and Warner Bros. have decided to drop the subtitles and keep Justice League as just Justice League - a surprising announcement considering it has previously been known as Justice League: Part One.
The news came from Geoff Johns, who recently took a bigger role within DC Films after a company restructure.
He Tweeted “Clearing up any misconceptions -- the Justice League movie is called ‘Justice League’.”
Justice League hits cinemas November next year, but before then, Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad will reach cinemas, titled Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad respectively.
Meanwhile, in other DC Film news, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition recently received a trailer.
