A brand new Hollywood salary report has highlighted a substantial gender pay gap for the forthcoming sequel to Jurassic World.
Variety's findings show that Chris Pratt earned $10m for the role, an entire $2m more than the salary netted by his co-lead star Bryce Dallas Howard.
While Pratt is the bigger star thanks to roles in Marvel films Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War, there's no denying that the two have received equal star billing for the sequel which will likely capitalise on following one of the biggest films of the decade.
In this way, it could be argued that the film will automatically find box office success regardless of whoever's leading the charge.
The report's other findings show Daniel Craig is earning a $5m pay rise to receives a whopping $25m for the as-of-yet untitled next Bond film while Anne Hathaway will scoop $15m for her lead role in the new Barbie film.
Encouragingly, Patty Jenkins will take home three times what she was paid for Wonder Woman for the DC sequel with a salary of $9m.

Spanish filmmaker J.A. Bayona broke down the events of the sequel's first full trailer which features the return of Jeff Goldblum, a volcanic eruption and a smorgasbord of dinosaurs.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is released 7 June 2018
