Julia Louis-Dreyfus has criticised the lack of roles like that of Veep’s Selina Meyer in film.
"This is not the kind of thing that's going to come along a lot," she told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor has spent most of her career on the small screen, simply because the right parts haven’t been coming up for the big one.
"I'm not interested in being the wisecracking this or that or the eye-rolling wife," she said.
”Those roles are out there, and they've come my way, but I'm not doing that. I'm bored shitless by that."
Louis-Dreyfus famously lampooned the lack of substantial roles for women in Hollywood in a fantastic sketch celebrating her “last f*ckable day”.
Veep is set to continue until at least 2017, with HBO renewing it for a new season today along with Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley.
