The Oscar-winning actor has apparently been seen wearing a large engagement ring while out with Maroney, with whom she has been linked to since June last year, while out with him in New York City.
According to Page Six, the pair met via Lawrence’s mutual friend, Laura Simpson.
Maroney is the director of New York’s Gladstone art gallery, which represents high profile clients including Anish Kapoor, Matthew Barney, and Lena Dunham’s father, Caroll Dunham.
The Hollywood Reporter said it has confirmed the pair’s engagement.
Lawrence, who has starred in several major films including Mother!, Silver Linings Playbook (where she became the second youngest winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2012), and American Hustle.
Her next project, the X-Men sequel Dark Phoenix, will see her reprise her role as Raven/Mystique when it is released on 7 June, 2019.
News of her engagement arrives shortly after Lawrence launched a new production company, Excellent Cadaver, for which she will produce films with her partner Justine Polsky, as well as appear in some of the films they work on together.
