The costume went missing from an LA movie prop storage facility, with LAPD officer Christopher No confirming the suit's value and stating a police report was filed on Tuesday.
The news was first reported on KCBS-TV, who reported it as the suit worn by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in 2008's Iron Man.
The facility is located in the Pacoima neighbourhood of LA, with the item last seen in February and now missing since April.
The owners of the facility said they checked space Tuesday and called the police when they couldn't find the costume.
Downey Jr.'s superhero, of course, now stars in Avengers: Infinity War - a phenomenon of a film still topping box office charts around the globe.
