Hocus Pocus sequel: Bette Midler confirms she is ‘talking logistics’ with Disney
Broadway star revealed she is ‘talking logistics’ with Disney
Bette Midler has suggested that she wants to star in the forthcoming Hocus Pocus sequel in development at Disney+.
The 74-year-old actor starred in the original Hocus Pocus, a fantasy-comedy about a coven of witches, alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy in 1993.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Midler revealed that she was currently “talking logistics” with the studio.
The revered Broadway star also said that she “can’t wait to fly”.
In March, it was reported by Variety that the Hocus Pocus sequel script was being written by Workaholics writer/co-producer Jen D’Angelo.
The new interview is not the only indication that the original trio of stars would be returning for the streaming service revival.
Last year, Parker posted a photo of the three actors on Instagram in-character as their witchy alter-egos.
Asked by a fan whether there was any chance of a sequel, Parker responded: “We have said yes. Now we wait.”
Najimy is now the only one of the three still to comment on her involvement in a sequel, but if Parker’s comments are anything to go by, fans need not worry.
