Your support makes all the difference. As the number of sexual assault and harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein mount, Lindsay Lohan has leaped to the film producer's defence stating she "feels very bad" for him.
The Mean Girls actor posted two videos to her Instagram account on Tuesday (9 October) in which she described what was happening to Weinstein as “wrong.”
“I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now,” Lohan told her followers from a hotel in Dubai. “I don't think it's right what's going on.”
She also suggested that Weinstein's wife, model Georgina Chapman - who issued a statement announcing she is to separate from her husband - should support him through the allegations.
“I think Georgina [Chapman] needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.
“He's never harmed me or done anything wrong to me. We've done several movies together and so I think everyone needs to stop, I think it's wrong. So stand up.”
The Instagram videos - one of which featured Harvey's name accompanied with a halo emoji - have since been deleted.
Two separate investigations into the decades-worth of allegations faced by Weinstein have surfaced in bothThe New York Times and The New Yorker over the past week inspiring numerous Hollywood stars - including Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie - to come forward with their unsettling experiences with the producer. The latter report features three allegations of rape.
Actors ranging from Jennifer Lawrence and Meryl Streep to Mark Ruffalo and Jessica Chastain have criticised Weinstein both for his alleged behaviour and his statement in response to the allegations.
