From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

In a Q&A session on his Facebook page, writer/director James Gunn was asked about the possibility of him working on another sequel to the Chris Pratt starring sci-fi saga.
“Right now I really am just concerned with doing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”, he said. “I’m not sure what I’m going to do after this… Marvel has talked to me about continuing on.
“I’m not sure if that’s what I want to do or if that’s not what I want to do. I really just want to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that’s as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be”.
As noted by Den of Geek, no single director has completed a trilogy of Marvel films, with Jon Favreau and Joss Whedon coming close with Iron Man and Avengers, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Russo Brothers will have directed four Marvel films by the completion of Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.
There is currently no release date for Vol. 3, but if the movie does come to be then we can likely expect it to fill one of the as-yet unannounced 2020 slots Marvel has slated for release.
