Goodbye Christopher Robin trailer: Winnie the Pooh's creation comes to life in new AA Milne biopic
Domnhall Gleeson takes centre stage as the beloved children's book author
The first trailer for Goodbye Christopher Robin, the biopic of Winnie the Pooh creator AA Milne, has been released.
Domhnall Gleeson plays the author alongside Margot Robbie, Kelly Macdonald and Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
The story will follow Milne and his son Christopher Robin (Will Titson), whose cuddly toys were the inspiration behind the universally beloved Pooh tales, as they struggle to cope with the international fame brought by the books in the wake of WWI.
Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) has directed from a script by Frank Cottrell Boyce and Simon Vaughn.
Following the film's announcement, many have been touting Milne star Gleeson (Brooklyn, The Revenant) for an Oscar nomination considering the Academy's past recognition of biopics. It certainly seems like this could still come to fruition considering its release date of 29 September.
