The second has been handed to Rami Malek, the American actor who plays the iconic British frontman, now a contender for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award.
The Favourite, a British, American, and Irish co-production starring Olivia Colman as Anne, Queen of Great Britain, has been nominated five times, including in the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Screenplay – Motion Picture categories.
The film earned Colman a nomination for Best Actress in a musical or comedy.
Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz also scored nominations for their respective supporting roles.
Mary Poppins Returns, the American film starring Emily Blunt as the English nanny, is also a strong contender on this year's list.
