From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Wes Anderson has assembled quite the cast for his next film.

Not much is known about his tenth film, The French Dispatch, other than the fact it’s been described as “a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in 20th-century Paris” and that it won’t be a musical (as was previously reported). We also know it’ll centre on three storylines.

Anderson shot the film in France and, earlier this week, Fox Searchlight announced the film would clock in at just under two hours (and not the four hours that was claimed on social media).

Alongside the regulars (we’re looking at you, Bill Murray) is a fresh bunch of actors who are yet to work with the Grand Budapest Hotel filmmaker.

So, who is starring? Click through the gallery below to find out which actors will comprise the cast of The French Dispatch.

The French Dispatch is expected to be released in May, which puts it in line for a potential Cannes Film Festival premiere.

It’ll mark the director’s first film since 2018's Isle of Dogs.
