Anarchy is a dark and gritty modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy Cymbeline starring Ethan Hawke, Ed Harris and Milla Jovovich, which follows the life of corrupt policemen who are at war with a powerful biker gang.
Johnson, 25, plays Imogen, the daughter of Cymbeline, played by Ed Harris. The film is directed by Michael Almeryda, who has previously worked with Hawke in a modern reworking of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, set in New York.
Anarchy is released in the UK on 30 January, but Johnson will be back on screens two weeks later when the highly-anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey debuts in cinemas in time for Valentine’s Day, in which she plays Anastasia Steele, opposite Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey.
