From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The 30-second spot begins with an ominous voiceover warning: “If we do this, we risk everything.”
Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto, begins the movie attempting to live a quiet life with his family – but those plans are threatened as a new threat surfaces.
This threat is none other than Dom’s estranged brother Jakob, portrayed by John Cena, who can be seen briefly in Sunday’s spot.
Jakob, a skilled assassin and driver, has put together a “world-shattering plot” (according to the film’s synopsis) and must now be stopped by Dom and his crew.
A first trailer for Fast & Furious 9 was released the Friday ahead of Super Bowl Weekend.
Fast & Furious 9 will be released on 22 May 2020 in the UK and the US.
Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and Michael Rooker have all been cast for this instalment.
