Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

There are a lot of single Disney fans out there, looking for their happily ever after.

This is where cheesy new dating site Mouse Mingle comes in, to make all your wishes come true.

Named after Mickey Mouse but definitely not officially associated with the studio, founder Dave Tavros came up with the idea after finding it a struggle to find women who share his ardent passion for all things Disney.

My friends asked about my dating status and why I wasn’t trying the online dating sites,” he told Mashable.

“I told them I had tried them but there was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney. That was the inception moment.”

So, how do you go about setting up a profile? It’s simple, and just like other dating sites, only there is a special section for you to share your favourite Disney characters, songs and other highlights.

Mouse Mingle costs $12.55 a month and lets users private message and join online chats with other Disney fans.
