Although there’s an embargo for reviews, initial reactions have since appeared on social media, journalists giving their initial reactions to the sequel.
The overall consensus seems very positive, many people saying Deadpool 2 surpasses Deadpool and features one of the best post-credit scenes in recent history.
“I didn’t like the first Deadpool. Deadpool 2 beat me into submission until I was actually enjoying myself,” writes Mike Ryan of Uproxx. ”Also it features my now favourite post credit scene.”
Rachel Simon of Bustle expressed similar views: “Liked Deadpool 2 way more than the first. Smarter, funnier, and with 100% more Ricky Baker [a reference to Julian Dennison’s character in Hunt for the Wilderpeople]”.
Full reviews reach the Internet this Monday, while Deadpool 2 – which stars Ryan Reynolds, Zazie Beatz, Josh Brolin, Terry Cruise, Dennison, and more – will be in cinemas 18 May.
