Despite seeming incredibly unlikely that Daniel Craig will return as James Bond in any future films, an official word is yet to be spoken on the matter.
An emerging report has suggested, however, that Craig's decision to step down is all but confirmed with an LA source telling the Mail: "Daniel is done - pure and simple - he told top brass at MGM after Spectre. They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn’t what he wanted."
He had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing," the source continued. "...but the film company still felt he could come around after Spectre if he was offered a money deal."

The report follows bookmakers Coral's confirmation that they have stopped taking bets on Tom Hiddleston taking over the role when a heightened flurry followed word that the actor had met with Bond director Sam Mendes in a London hotel.
Craig first appeared as Bond in 2005 film Casino Royale, returning a further three times in Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and last year's Spectre.
Rumours of his departure from the legendary British film series swelled when it was announced he was to star in a 20-part TV series adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's novel Purity.
